Mahua Chakraborty
Treasurer
Mahua Chakraborty is a founding member and Treasurer of SAWPNA, and a Financial Professional and Holistic Life Planner. For over 20 years, she has volunteered in the community, connecting people through fundraisers and shared goals. In her practice, she brings a service-driven approach to help clients achieve financial wellness at every stage of life.
Mahua lives in Aurora, IL with her husband, Pratik. They have two sons: Praneet, who lives in downtown Chicago, and Preetish, who is in college.
Sarmistha Banerjee
Secretary
Sarmistha Banerjee is a founding member and Secretary of SAWPNA, as well as an attorney at Boodell & Domanskis, LLC, where she heads estate planning, estate administration, and guardianship practices. A magna cum laude law graduate and mom of two, she earned her degree at 42, proving it’s never too late to lead.
Sarmistha is also deeply involved in Chicago’s cultural scene through nonprofit and community work. Recognized as a Rising Star and Leading Lawyer, her career is defined by excellence, resilience, and service.
Bambi Majumdar
Marketing Chair
Bambi Majumdar is the Marketing Chair of SAWPNA as well a digital marketing expert with 20+ years of experience in global content strategy and branding. She blends journalism, PR, SEO, and AI to craft impactful, data-driven campaigns.
Specializing in enterprise marketing, Bambi co-created an AI-driven product discovery platform and champions innovation. Her storytelling transforms brands and drives purposeful engagement.
Susmita Mandal
Creative Chair
Susmita Mandal is the Creative Chair of SAWPNA as well a professional artist and dedicated Art educator, owner of Handmade Art Space LLC, committed to promoting Indian culture through traditional art forms. With over ten years of experience in art education, Susmita has inspired and taught more than 500 students, fostering a deep passion for creativity and cultural heritage. She is dedicated to ensuring that Indian artistry remains vibrant and relevant for future generations.
